THANK YOU for sharing this! Iām slowly, painfully emerging from a cracked sidewalk time of my life rn as well and this post is SO helpful and inspiring. Off to make my own list of daily, weekly, and monthly things that make me feel sparkly now.
this has been so lovely (and way too relatable) to read. never thought of naming the self-sabotage thoughts in my head (such a good use of free will) but now iāve got to think of some funky name for her.
Thanks for sharing this honest story. I am going through a similar situation myself and reading your piece had given me so much inspiration. Calling the inner voice āAntonā itās funny and powerful, because you can then handle it in a better way. Iām happy your regaining your spark š
Thank you, Claudia! Giving that inner voice a name and personality has been game-changing for me. It makes it less daunting and easier to handle - when those fears come up I know it's not me, it's just Anton acting up again š
This is lovelyā i, too, have fallen prey to the idea that locking myself away and āfocusingā on the writing of the thing will fix it all. It doesnāt work!
It's so romanticized, isn't it? And it can be a really productive time, but you can't go full lockdown without losing grasp of some important things. It's all about balance!
